Melanie Henson

Melanie Blaire Henson is a 2016 graduate of George Mason University with a B.S. in Psychology. She is no stranger to the stage and is passionate about performing arts. It was at George Mason University where she landed multiple roles as a walk-on freshman auditioning for the 10-minute play festival. She is a product of Chesterfield County Public Schools where she served as class president, drum major, and held several executive positions in student organizations. She even founded organizations that are still active to this day.

Her early years consisted of dance, choir, band, and sports. By trade, she works for the Richmond Department of Social Services - connecting citizens to the resources they need. Her passion is serving God by uplifting His people, and her personal motto is “Be the adult YOU needed when you were a child.”

However, her first and truest love…is theater. She welcomes every opportunity to utilize her acting skills to bring scripts to life and enjoys portraying prominent individuals and memorializing their legacies. She is thrilled about her film debut in this production.

Melanie Blare Henson is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., the Richmond Metropolitan Chapter of The Charmettes, Inc., and is a lifetime member of Fifth Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. Praise the Lord, for great things he has done.
