Blog Post Title Two

Ten years after conception, The Disciple Monologues were ready for me to hear from the mouths of others. My friend, Alethea McCollin suggested I do a table read, so on Saturday, October 19th, I met with a few old and new friends to hear the words I wrote for ten years, character by character.

To have the words move from a visual format to an audible one was strange. Some of these characters came to life. I also realized that I am a long-winded story teller. I know this is from reading novels that immersed me into the writer’s world, and also that I have been a playwright for a while. Every emotion has to be told with words to get the reader to come along on the journey. At this point, I didn’t know if I had a good idea, so I queried my friends. They thought it would be cool to see these blblical characters on the screen.

some volunteered and some were “voluntold.”
